2011 Fall Festival
For 36 years now, the Hartville Area Chamber of Commerce has sponsored the Fall Festival, and plans are now underway for the 2011 festival, set for October 8th. We will have a great variety of vendors, including: Homemade candles, soap, jewelry, handbags, mums, home decor, and many more. There will be pony rides, carnival rides, a dress-your-pet contest, and many other activities that the kids and parents alike can enjoy. We look forward to having "WhetStone Connection" from Norwood performing for us, as well as "Consider the Sparrows" and "One Way".
There will be a 5K Run/Walk at 7am at the City Park to benefit the community center. The deadline for early bird registration is 9/30/11. There will be 8 divisions in the race, including a baby stroller division and a costume contest during the race! Please contact the community center for more information on the race or for pre-registration at 417-741-1070.

Our "Hartville's Got Talent" show last year was awesome! We had 14 contestants, and the performances were all one of a kind. 1st place was Dallas Miller, 2nd place was Donnie Wilson, and 3rd place was Sherry Jones. They all did a fantastic job! We will continue this in the 2011 festival as well.

The pie auction is always a big hit, and will continue in 2011. Pie makers included: Gina Dedmon, Connie Jones, Vera Helsley, Ilene Shaver, Jenny Helsley, Rita Shaver, Pat Clifton, Pat Taylor, Ruby Ely, and Janette Hudson. These ladies made some awesome pies!!
The girls all looked so beautiful at the Fall Festival Queen Coronation last year. We joined in effort with Hartville and Grovespring schools there were 21 candidates from Preschool to Seniors in High School, one candidate from each grade. There were four divisions for the Hartville girls, and two for the Grovespring girls. Six girls were crowned on the stage and all candidates and queens rode in the parade. The Coronation is an annual event started in 2009.

There were more vendors last year at the festival than there have been in 4 years. We had a huge variety of craft and food vendors. If you are interested in being a vendor in the 2011 festival, you may copy the application below and send it back to the Chamber with your check. Any questions about booths can be sent to laurenjh18@yahoo.com.
